10.30 am Besthorpe Hall - Saturday 26th April - John Alston
Wonderful old formal garden within Tudor enclosures, featuring a collection of magnolias, wisteria and a wide variety of herbaceous plants and shrubs.  Especially interesting climbers and wall plants.  Good topiary and extensive herbaceous borders.  One of the most interesting features of the garden is the tilting, or jousting, ground.

£4 pp - garden entrance only, no refreshments

Directions: From the A11 on the Norwich side of Attleborough, take the old Norwich Road B1077.  Turn into Mill Lane and continue to T-junction.  Turn R into Besthorpe Road (L is Silver Street), then L into Bunwell Road.  Stay on this road.  Look for Besthorpe Hall on R past church.

2.30pm Sea Mere Study Centre, Hingham, Norfolk NR9 4LP - Judy Watson
Thjis site of Special Scientific Interest covers 5 acres and includes a bog garden, herbaceous borders, ornamental vegetable garden, orchard, woodland garden, wetland garden and terraced lawns leading to the mere.
£6 pp which includes tour, tea and cake  
      
Directions: From the B1108 Watton to Norwich road:- from Watton drive through Hingham village centre, past Hall Lane.  Turn next R at crossroads into Bears Lane which then becomes Seamere Road.  The Study Centre is on the R.  
From Norwich follow B1108 through Kimberley, pass turning to Hackford village on L take L turn into Seamere Road.  The Study Centre is then on L.  http://www.seamere.com
